My first foray into fusing video, photography and copy was here, at the Henley Vaporium!
A legendary vape shop nestled in the heart of SoHo on Cleveland St, Henley Vape was a trendsetting force in the formative to middle years of the vaping community as we know it. It was a frequent haunt for many members of the NYC underground, serving dancers, musicians, and occasionally larger celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Norman Reedus.
During this period of time, I was provided the opportunity to extend the brand’s art-first, fashion forward, and unapologetically irreverent voice past the doors of the shop floor towards the world at large. A large part of this was done with the intent of extending its sights and sounds, as well as the memorable vibes of its regulars to the internet, to draw and unite the NYC vaping community, providing a place both physical and virtual to sit back and take a moment to enjoy each other’s company.
